How can I schedule an appointment?

The best way to schedule an appointment is to give us a call at 617-315-2573! Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to get you set up with an appointment that fits your schedule. You can also request a callback online to schedule an appointment with us here:

Do you accept dental insurance, and which providers are in-network?

We have providers in-network with the following insurances:

  • Dental Dental Premier
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO
  • Guardian DentalGuard

See a provider you love but they’re not in network with your insurance? No worries- we can bill your insurance on your behalf. You will pay the full treatment cost up front, and your insurance will reimburse you directly for what they will cover.

What payment options do you offer for those without insurance?

We accept cash, credit, and debit cards. We also accept CareCredit, an affordable financing option for our patients.

How long will my appointment take, and what can I expect during a routine check-up?

Your routine hygiene appointment consists of a thorough dental examination and professional teeth cleaning to maintain your oral health and prevent dental issues. During this appointment, our experienced dental hygienist will carefully clean and polish your teeth, remove plaque and tartar buildup, and provide personalized oral hygiene instructions to help you maintain a healthy smile between visits. Additionally, our dentist will conduct a comprehensive examination to check for any potential dental problems and discuss any necessary treatments or recommendations for your continued oral care. This comprehensive approach to dental hygiene appointments ensures that your smile remains healthy, beautiful, and free from dental issues.

We recommend a routine hygiene exam every six months for those under 65, and more frequent checkups for those who are older. Patients with unique oral needs may have specific recommendations from their provider on visit frequency.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

We ask that you fill out all new patient information online before your appointment. You will receive a digital link where you can take your time filling out the necessary information. We ask that you also contact your previous dental provider and ask them to send your dental records and x-rays to contact@chestnuthilldentist.com prior to your appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please see our No Show/Late Arrival Policy page here.

Do you offer emergency dental services, and how can I reach you outside of regular hours?

Yes, our skilled dentists are available on weekdays to address dental emergencies. If you're experiencing a severe dental emergency that requires immediate medical attention, please call 911 or visit your nearest hospital. For dental emergencies that occur outside of our regular hours, we encourage you to reach out to us as soon as possible by phone or email. We are committed to responding as quickly as possible to ensure you receive the care you need.

Are you currently accepting new patients?

Yes! We are accepting new patients and would love to service you and your family’s dental needs.

What age groups do you serve?

We provide comprehensive dental care for patients over the age of 15 to senior adults!

Can I request a specific dentist or hygienist for my appointments?

Yes, please state your preference when making your appointment. Please note that different providers are in-network with certain insurances, so we can not guarantee a preferred dentist will be in-network. Please let us know over the phone and we can confirm the insurance information.

Of course, you can still see out-of-network providers- we take many forms of payment and can assist in treatment financing as well.

What should I do if I have dental anxiety or fear of the dentist?

Being afraid of the dentist is a very common anxiety and there is nothing to be embarrassed about. We completely understand, and want to give you the best experience we possibly can- your dental health is important to us! Please share this information when booking an appointment so we can help identify the best accommodations we can provide to help make you most comfortable.

We offer pain management options.
